The Barracuda 7200.9 is a 3.5" disc drive with reduced height (20mm vs. traditional 26mm drives). The product is available in 40, 80, 120 and 160GByte capacities with 2 and 8MB cache offerings. To support your application requirements the Barracuda 7200.9 is configured as a SATA 1.5Gb/s interface but can be easily configured to SATA 3Gb/s by removing a single jumper on the drive. New Low Profile Height Lighter design weighs less and reduces shipping costs. Seagate SoftSonic Seagate SoftSonic motor enables whisper-quiet operation. Reversed PCBA Electronics By reversing the circuit board, the drive electronics are protected from handling damage during shipping and integration. Perpendicular Recording Technology Perpendicular Recording increases data density while decreasing moving parts for a more dependable drive.
