The new drive MK8037GSX features Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology (PMR) which allows for maximum data capacity on small form factor. The drive’s 5400 rpm motor speed improves system-level performance by as much as 12 percent when compared to 4200 rpm. Weighing only 97 grams, the MK8037GSX incorporates the Serial ATA II Interface and is ATA-7 compliant, supporting high transfer rates of up to 150 megabytes per second. With a capacity of 80GB, this Toshiba HDD provides mobile PC manufacturers with the ideal hard disk drive to produce faster performing and application enriched notebooks.
