By using Toshiba’s updated Hard disk drive technology, this Toshiba 100 GB 2.5-inch hard disk drive with SATA interface is a highly advanced product. Serial ATA or SATA is an evolution of the parallel ATA (PATA, also known as IDE) physical storage interface. Visually, the cables used are the most noticeable change from PATA. The SATA standard define a data cable using seven lines with a max. length up to 1 meter.
