Toshiba MD04ABA400V internal hard drive 3.5" 4000 GB Serial ATA II

The MD04ABA-V series delivers Toshiba’s first 5TB surveillance-class HDDs. The power efficient, 3.5-inch, low RPM HDD supports up to 32 high definition cameras[1] and 24x7 operation. The series is built for use in surveillance digital video recorders (SDVR), surveillance network video recorders (SNVR) and hybrid SDVR. In addition, the rotational vibration (RV) sensors makes the HDDs suitable for use in RAID/multi-HDD based surveillance platforms. The massive capacity points of 4TB or 5TB give now the flexibility to retain higher resolution surveillance video data for longer periods using fewer HDDs, helping to maintain a smaller storage footprint and lower energy costs. The drives also feature excellent power efficiency with a power consumption value of 6.5 W (read/write). Number of surveillance cameras support capability is defined by performance simulation with high definition cameras as 2MiB/s bit rate.
